Madeline’s Baptism – Part 2 – The Ceremony

The pictures have arrived from Miss Madeline’s baptism, and I could not be more pleased!!!  We decided to have her ceremony be private (instead of during the service), since she sometimes get a little nervous around large groups of people.  🙂  The weather was glorious, and she was in a really great mood during the ceremony.

For those who know me, you know that I am a little obsessed with baby bonnets.  I think that they are so sweet, and I put them on Madeline all of the time.  You can use them for such a short period of life, so I really embrace the baby part of fashion and buy lots of bubbles and bonnets.  🙂  I would not say that Madeline 100% loves them, but she is typically a good sport and wears them for a few minutes before she attempts to rip them off of her head – LOL.

I love the pictures above and below because this is actually her godmother tying her bonnet.  I think it is such a sweet memory to have in a picture…..XOXO!!!

For those who have met Madeline, you know that she has a lot of personality for a baby.  🙂  Here is one of my favorite shots of her hamming it up during pictures:

Luckily, she did let us take some regular pictures too.  🙂  For those of you who are wondering about my dress, it is Lilly Pulitzer and was recycled from my closet.  🙂  My bracelet is from a wedding that I was in a few years ago, and my gold shoes were actually my wedding shoes (from Dillard’s – circa 2010).  This means that I was able to dress for this special occasion while spending ZERO extra money – wahoo!!!!

Madeline was also very good for her godparents during photos, which was a bonus….

Below is my FAVORITE non-posed picture of my little munchkin.  She LOVES to chew on the ribbons of bonnets, so I am very happy that this moment was captured.  It is really easy to forget little memories like this, so I am happy that my friend was able to take a picture while she was chewing.  I also love how you can see the church in the background and how Miss Madeline and I were wearing matching pearl bracelets!!  🙂

Below is what I like to call my “proud mommy shot.”  🙂

I am so happy that she was in such a good mood during the ceremony and for all of pictures!!!  Now, she did get a little grouchy on the car ride home, so we decided to give her a power nap while we were setting up all of the food for her luncheon.  🙂  This is one of the many reasons why I like entertaining at home, particularly if you have small children.  You never know when they need to take a quick nap or have their clothes/diapers changed, so it is really nice to have easy access to all of their things.

Click here to see a separate post on her actual luncheon, as well as here for more details on her big day.  You can also click here to see what all was involved in the planning of her luncheon, which we held at our home.  There are so many fun details for you to see, so I hope you take a peek!  🙂

XOXO,

Tiffany  🙂
