Fun Tips For Easy Easter Baskets

Greetings!  As Easter is quickly approaching, I have come up with a list of helpful tips while making your child’s Easter basket.  Some people do these very simply, while other people have very elaborate baskets.  Neither is wrong, but make sure and view these tips FIRST to ensure a smooth basket making process.  🙂

Before you do anything, please make sure you create an overall budget for your basket.  This has nothing to do with your income level.  People with a lot of money should do this as much as people who have less.  Having a budget will make this super easy, and it will also put some guide rails on the whole process.  Do not forget that this budget includes the basket, ribbon, liner and monogramming for the liner.  There are so many coupons out there, so shop around a little bit.  I personally love Michael’s baskets, but you can always find cute ones at other places too.  You can spend a small fortune if you are not careful, so please establish a budget first!

If you are buying basket goodies from multiple stores, make sure and keep them in one place so you don’t forget you bought them – LOL.  I tend to buy stuff ahead of time, so you don’t want to be finding basket fillers at Christmas. I know this because I am speaking from experience! 🙂

I also recommend immediately putting the present directly into the basket, once you have purchased the item.  This is so you know how much space you have left remaining for other gifts.  It is SO EASY TO ACCIDENTALLY BUY TOO MUCH STUFF, so pay attention to how much room you actually have.  There is so much cute stuff out there (Hello, Target Dollar Spot), so watch out.  🙂

It is also a good idea to look and see if you have anything left over from last year.  This is especially true if your kids are tiny.  They will not remember and/or care if they have the same style eggs or bubbles from last year.  🙂  It is also 100% fine if you reuse the basket itself.  To be honest, this is exactly what I am doing this year.  Here is a pic of last year’s basket:

And here is this year’s:

Look familiar???  I didn’t even change the bow – LOL!  🙂  If you want more info on Madeline’s 1st Easter basket, then please click HERE.
