Before You Put On That Cart Cover…..

This seems so obvious now, but let me give you one quick piece of advice……

When you are at the store, and you are about to put your cart cover on (if you choose to use one), make sure you flip the plastic covers down PRIOR to putting on the cart cover.  If you don’t, then there won’t be any holes for your child’s legs to go through.  You will undoubtedly realize this after you have already sat your child down, and they are upset because it is very uncomfortable for them.  You will have to immediately remove your child and reset your cover, which can make your child quite grouchy.  Trust me – I am speaking from experience – LOL!  🙂

I am referring to the red plastic flaps below:

Flip them down to reveal the holes that your child’s legs go through.  Make sure to do this first……

Now, put on your cart cover (if you so choose), and then put your munchkin in!!

For all of you Costco and Target lovers out there, I highly recommend this cart cover.  It is large enough to fit the oddly shaped carts at both of these stores, AND it has loops for toys.  Speaking of loops, I also HIGHLY recommend buying these inexpensive straps to hold on to small toys.  My munchkin LOVES to THROW STUFF (and thinks it is funny), so this prevents her items from hitting the floor.  MOMMY FOR THE WIN!!  🙂  They are completely washable and have saved MANY a teething ring from hitting the ground.  🙂

SIDE NOTE – I get a lot of questions about Madeline’s outfits (above).  While Little Miss does have a very nice wardrobe, I will tell you that I am a major deal hunter and rarely pay full price for anything.  Most of the stuff that she has, I have found on sale at various online boutiques via Instagram.  There are so many great little children’s boutiques on Instagram, so if you have the time to hunt on IG, I would highly suggest doing that.  If you are running short on time and just see something you love, then here are the specs on what she has on:  shoes, bow and outfit (Kissy Kissy – no longer available, but I have linked some similar styles).

You can also not use a cart cover, and the world will still be okay – LOL!!!  🙂
