A Baby New Year’s Eve Party!!!

One of my good friends decided that people with children should be able to have fun too on New Year’s Eve, so she decided to host a “Baby New Year’s Eve” party.  YAY!!!  I have to say, this was such a cute idea.  It started very early (I believe we got there around 5:30pm), and we were able to be back home within a couple of hours.  Even though we were still in bed by the time the ball dropped, we were still able to get out of the house and celebrate!  🙂

She arranged the cutest backdrop for people to put their children in front of, which was a fantastic idea.  She also had a lot of “photo booth” props for the kiddos to hold.

Above is a picture of Madeline and I before we left for our first big party!  🙂  She received this precious dress from her aunt and uncle, and it was the perfect occasion to break it out for the first time!  She didn’t have much hair at this point, but we were able to put a gold ribbon with a band on her to add a little sparkle – LOL!

I love our family photo from our first New Year’s Eve party.  When you go out as a family, please make sure and take pictures of yourselves!  Even though this photo turned out blurry, we still have it for our family album to show Madeline what we all looked like for her first big dress up party!  🙂

I was extra excited that Madeline got to wear her dressy diaper cover – LOL!  I am a sucker for a monogram (Tina does such BEAUTIFUL work), so this addition to her outfit made my night complete!  🙂

Above is a pic of our princess in her new dress coat that her grandmother bought her for Christmas.  Too cute!!

All in all, it was a fantastic night!  We weren’t gone for very long, but we were still able to celebrate a major holiday as a family.  Please don’t let having a baby be an excuse to not celebrate.  Just figure out alternate ways (like having a party start super early :)) to host a gathering where people with small children can have fun too!!!  XOXO!!!
