Cookie Decorating Playdate Time!!!

A great tradition that was started this year by a good friend of mine was to host a children’s cookie exchange.  This was a fantastic idea because it is something that is fun for kids and adults of all ages.  Since we are all currently in the baby phase, the mommas obviously did most/all of the cooking – LOL!  🙂  However, this will be a ton of fun in the coming years when the little ones can really start helping.

Here is a picture of my little supervisor.  🙂  To make the occasion even more festive, my friend had a chef hat and apron made for her daughter.  She was nice enough to let Madeline borrow it for this fantastic photo opportunity.  I didn’t want to put the apron on her, since Madeline had really bad reflux at this time (I was afraid she would spit up all over it).  Next year, I am definitely going to get Maddie her own hat and apron.  They are so cute!!!

Below is the work of some very tiny fingers.  I think this picture is so great, because it shows you that things do not need to be perfect!!!  They can be messy and still be fun.  It is much more important to enjoy spending the time with your friends and children, rather than worrying about all of the cookies being perfect for pictures…..  🙂

While the cookies were baking, we had a few blankets and toys down so the girls could have some actual play time.  I love watching babies interact with each other.  They kept babbling, and it made me wonder if they were actually “talking” to each other….. 🙂

All in all, this was a great playdate theme for children of various ages.  We had a ton of fun the first time around, and I look forward to the years of good times we will have in the future!!

Happy baking!!!!  🙂

XOXO,

Tiffany
