Great Gifts For Babies 12 Months & Younger

Hello, everyone!  I have noticed that a lot of people get stressed out when they need to buy a baby gift for the holidays.  There are thousands of toys out there, so it can definitely be a little challenging, particularly for those who do not have children of their own.  After a lot of thought from when Madeline was very little, I have come up with my top five toys for babies 12 months and younger.  Madeline owns all of these toys, and they have really stood the test of time.  Here are my top five toys that would make excellent presents for babies:

The Fisher Price Go Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino (link HERE)Madeline received this when she was six months old, and it has been a huge hit in our household!  It is super cute and holds baby’s attention for quite a while.

She honestly still plays with it all of the time, which is great!

Fisher Price Kick & Play Piano Gym (link HERE) – Of all of the toys Madeline received as a baby, this was by far her favorite until about her one year birthday.  It has various stages to grow with baby, which is fantastic!  It also comes in a blue/green color combination if you are not partial to the pink.

Here is a picture of Madeline as a very small baby with her piano.  She spent so many hours playing with this thing, and it was so sweet to watch her.  She loved to kick the keys and play us a song:

And here she is playing a concert for Elmo on Christmas morning (once she could sit up on her own):

The Munch Mitt Teething Mitten (link HERE) – I know that this thing looks strange, but Madeline LOVED it!  Whoever invented this is an absolute genius.   It is basically a teething ring that straps to baby’s hand, so they can’t throw it on the floor.  Madeline used to chew on her mitten all of the time, and it even comes in a cute little carrying case.  It also comes in a variety of colors, so make sure to check it out.

Lamaze Flip Flap Dragon (link HERE) – This is a great gift for a little one, but just make sure that the flapping motion won’t scare them.  If you aren’t into dragons, Lamaze makes a ton of other cute toys that babies love.  A bonus is that they have a clip, so you can attach the animals directly to a car seat.

Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy (link HERE) – Madeline is now 18 months old, and she still carries this with her.  This little guy is at a great price point, and the babies (and toddlers) really love it.  It plays different classical music songs while lighting up and is really easy to pack and take with you.  This would make an especially great gift if you are looking for something small and inexpensive.

Well, those are my top 5 toys for babies 12 months and under.  What gift ideas do you have?  Please let me know because I love hearing from you all.  I am sure that there are lots of other great toys to choose from, so feel free to leave suggestions!
