Valentine’s Day Playdate Time!!!!

One of my good friends recently hosted a Valentine’s Day playdate, and she hit it out of the park.  She had so many cute decorations, so I had to take a moment and share of few of the pics:

How cute is this!?!?  She did a great job with providing a lot of the food, and then the rest of the attendees brought stuff as well.  I brought the pimento and cheese in the heart bowl shown above, as well as the pretzels.  Make sure and check out a future post for the recipe, because it is easy and a GREAT thing to bring to parties.  I already had the heart bowl and plate (which I got for 80% off at Hobby Lobby last year), so other than buying a bag of pretzels, I already had all of the supplies to make my portion of the food.  BONUS!!

We spent a while playing upstairs in her playroom (which is awesome), and then we brought all of the kids downstairs for their activity.  We each had a canvas and used hand and footprints to make cute paintings for everyone to take home.  I wish I had a better picture, but check out her fireplace in the background (shown below).  She had the most adorable “Be Mine” sign hanging off of the mantle and a bench on the floor for taking cute pictures of the kids.

Everyone had their kids dressed up for Valentine’s, so the pictures turned out really well!  I don’t want to post pictures of other people’s children, so here is a picture of my princess from the day of the event:

I am so happy that Madeline’s hair is officially long enough for a tiny bow, because I have been having so much fun dressing her up lately!!!  Maddie and I had a great time, which you can see from our faces below:

I really wish this picture hadn’t turned out so blurry, but I think it shows how much fun we both had!!!!  🙂

Here are some adorable pics of the artwork that was created:

We were only able to get part of our canvas completed because somebody had to go down for her nap.  🙂  We did manage to get both of our handprints on the canvas, so I am going to add some more things and finish our painting very soon.  I think it will be a great chance to have a piece of handmade art that we can hang in Madeline’s playroom.  Here is what we have so far:

I have been looking on Pinterest, and I think I am going to turn our handprints into flowers (adding the greenery at the bottom).  I am definitely not a professional artist by any stretch of the imagination, but we are going to give it a try!  🙂  I wish my handprint was higher up, but we are going to make it work.  I will make sure and do post on the final product!  🙂

XOXO,

Tiffany
